Tuesday Inspiration: Leslie Caron
Since I just had my hair cut in a pixie style, I thought I would share my hair inspiration today: Leslie Caron. During the filming of An American in Paris, Leslie Caron scandalously cut her own hair short in a pixie after a stylist on set refused to(sounds like something I would do hehe!). Not only was Leslie a gorgeous actress but also a fabulous dancer! I just started taking ballet lessons so I found this very exciting. If you want to watch some Leslie Caron films, start with Gigi, An American in Paris, and Daddy Longlegs(my personal favorite). Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving week!

Flannel Love
I've never been a flannel person, but I found this gorgeous plaid flannel fabric and knew I needed to make a shirt dress out of it! It's super soft and comfy! Also, as you can see...I got my hair cut! I've been thinking about getting a 60s inspired pixie cut for years and finally decided to go for it! This cut was inspired by Leslie Caron and I love it! I'm still getting used to seeing myself this way though...I feel like a different person! It sure is a lot easier to style than long hair. I have to say though, it took more courage than I thought to take the plunge and let my hairdresser chop it off! To all you pixie ladies out there, I salute you.

Inspiration Thursday: Gene Tierney
I think Gene Tierney might be my very favorite actress..She always plays a strong and powerful but demure character, and she is beautiful in both a glamorous and a raw, natural way. I just had to share these beautiful photos I was browsing this morning!
There are so many Gene Tierney films I haven't seen yet, but my favorite so far is Laura. Next on my list is Leave Her to Heaven (she is devilishly evil in this film!)
I may be doing another "name that movie" contest in the future, so brush up on your Gene Tierney films hehe(:

A Farewell to Long Hair
I'm chopping all my hair off next week! I decided to do one last blog post with my long hair before I say goodbye to it and this 1930s dress provided the perfect excuse! I had so much fun wearing this dress- it's so much fun bringing beautiful dresses back to life! It's for sale in my etsy shop now.
